Who is Security and what is their role?

A Security company, Mi Security Corporation, under the direction of the Board of Directors and Property Management ensures the building is running safely and securely. The Security Guards at SkyCity provide an excellent standard of condominium customer service and a wide variety of additional services to residents and guests, including:

  • Receiving packages and parcel transfer to residents
  • Verification and access controls for visitors and guests to the building
  • Preparing security reports about the building and resident concerns to property management
  • Monitor security footage
  • Patrolling the premises, responding to weaknesses in security, and preventing or reporting property damage
  • 24 contact to respond to fires, floods, leaks, power outages, elevator entrapments, and other emergencies in the building

Property Management

Who is Property Management and what are their responsibilities?

A property management company, Shelter Canadian Properties Limited, under the direction of the Board of Directors, runs the day-to-day affairs of a Condominium Corporation. The Property Management team’s purpose and roles are to maintain, protect and enhance the property value of your condominium community, by ensuring consistent communication is kept with Board members; diligently resolve operational issues in the common areas; monitor work performed on the premises, ensure Residents abidance of policies and diligently assist in carrying out the policies set out by the Board of Directors and the buildings governing documents.

Board of Directors

All contact to the Board of Directors for 55 Oneida Crescent (SkyCity Phase 1) is to be made through the property management office. An email may be sent to either of the managers and it will be forwarded to the Directors. Alternatively, if you would like your contact to be made privately, please place your letter in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Board and property management will pass it on.

What is the job of the Board of Directors?

The Board of Directors are a group of residents voted for during an AGM (Annual General Meeting). They volunteer their time to the building and are responsible for carrying out the obligations of the Condominium Corporation, as set out in the Act and in the Condominium Documents, as it relates to:

– Property
– Finances
– Maintaining Corporation Records
– Reserve Fund Study
– All other matters relating to the condominium community
