Power Outage in Richmond Hill

Attention All Residents,

The building is currently experiencing a complete power outage as there is a power outage issue for the entire grid that includes our building. At this time we will all need to wait until the power issue has been corrected.

We repeat this is not a building issue, this is a town issue.

As you can see the emergency generator is operating, providing the building with a limited amount of power.

Thank you,

Property Management

Fire Alarm Test

Attention Residents of SkyCity 1 & SkyCity 2,

Please note that Capital Fire will be conducting the monthly building fire alarm test that will take place in SkyCity 1 (55 Oneida Cres.) on:

Thursday, March 7th, 2019
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF
9:00 AM & 5:00 PM

The speaker system will be tested along with the fire alarms. During this time the alarms will sound periodically.

We wish to remind all residents of an important building detail.

As a result of both buildings being connected through the shared amenities, the fire alarm systems are connected as well. If one building is conducting a test on the system or experiences a fire emergency, the alarms in both buildings will sound.

If you have further questions on this system please feel free to contact the Management office and we would be happy to go over it with you.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Improper Use of Parking Spot

Dear Residents,

It has been brought to our attention that some residents are storing their personal belongings in their parking spots. Residents have been placing items such as wheels for their vehicles, bicycles, shopping carts and even cases of water in their spots, see photo below. Please remove any items as your parking spot is not for storage or garbage. You should only be using your spot to park your vehicle. A reference from the building’s rules, about the parking spots, is shown below:IMG_3122

Rule 10.
No motor vehicle other than a motorcycle, private passenger automobile, station wagon, light-duty van or light-duty pick-up or sports utility trust in good working order and repair and which does not leak any fluids shall be parked on any part of the common elements (including any part thereof, of which any owner may have the exclusive use) or in any parking units nor shall such areas be used for storage of parts, equipment or materials, nor shall any repairs be made to such motor vehicle on the common elements (including any part thereof, of which any owner may have the exclusive use) or parking units and no motor vehicle shall be driven on any part of the common elements other than on a driveway or parking area designated for parking by the board.

While these individuals are breaking the rules, we ask residents to report to Security or Management if their parking neighbours are using their spots for storage. Do not take these items yourself, that is stealing. Currently, a shopping cart has gone missing from a parking spot. If anyone has seen it or taken it, please return it to Security so that it can be given back to its rightful owner.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation,
Property Management

Proper Locker Room Storage

Attention Residents,

Please note that all your belongings should be properly stored inside your designated locker. Do NOT store/leave items outside your locker, in the locker room’s common area or on top of the lockers.

All common area spaces are inspected regularly to ensure we are cooperating with fire code by-laws. Anything found improperly stored in the common space of the locker room will be disposed.

If you have any garbage in the locker room it is important that you throw it away so that it does not attract pests.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation,
Your Management Team

SkyCity Newsletter Volume 2

Attention All Residents,

We are so excited to finally share the next volume of the SkyCity Newsletter. While this has been a long process for Management to develop this volume, we are excited that it is here and full of great information. In addition to this digital copy, we have also delivered a hard copy, door to door and have placed a copy permanently on our website under this Reference Documents page. It is important that every tenant and owner, both on-site and off-site, be familiar with the information provided in the Newsletter.

We would like to highlight a brief note we made on the first page, the Newsletter is a large task for us and we would like residents to be involved in its production. We are looking for individuals interested in volunteering their time to their community to create additional Newsletters in the future. Please speak to someone in the Management office or send us an email.

Resident Experiencing Frost Quakes

Attention All Residents,

We have received inquiries from residents regarding some banging noises heard throughout the evening.

We have consulted with our Engineers and they have told us that this occurrence is called FROST QUAKES, please see diagram below. This happens during extreme cold weather when temperatures drop.

This is not unusual and we are monitoring all the building components to ensure that everything is running as it should.

Kind Regards,
